Welcome to Science - Ashe County style. In an effort to create 21st Century learners, students will be encouraged to problem-solve and be creative thinkers. Classes will include modeling, labs, lecture, technology, and projects. Come prepared to think and participate.
About Mrs. Tugman
Mrs. Tugman received her B.S. in Conservation, B.S. in Natural Resources, and Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Resource Management from North Carolina State University. Prior to joining the Ashe County Public Schools in 2005, she worked at the Wake County Arts Council, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and North Carolina Central University School of Law. Mrs. Tugman teaches Biology, Honors Biology, Honors Physics, Forensics, Honors Forensics, Physical Science and Advanced Physical Science. In 2010, she was named Ashe County High School Teacher of the Year and the Ashe County Teacher of the Year. In addition, she serves as a sponsor for the Beta Club.
